Definitions. "Interacting audience" = subscribers × the observed like-and-comment rate on recent videos. "Non-interacting subscribers" = the remainder. This measures observable interaction only — likes and comments. It does not measure viewing. Most genuine viewers watch without pressing any button, so a high non-interaction rate is not evidence of fraud, bots, or purchased subscribers. It commonly reflects an ageing subscriber base, reduced algorithmic distribution, or simply a silent audience.
