Last updated 18 August 2026 · Governed by the laws of India

This Privacy Policy explains how VitaPoshan Technologies Pvt Ltd, which operates the VidChart service at vidchart.in ("VidChart", "we", "us"), handles information. By using our website, you agree to this policy.

1. The two kinds of information on this site

It matters which is which, so we separate them plainly.

KindWhat it is
Public creator dataInformation creators have themselves published to the world: public profile and channel names, public handles, public follower and subscriber counts, public post and video engagement figures, and public comments. This is the raw material our ratings are computed from.
Information you give usYour name, email address, Instagram handle, and any message you send us — supplied when you contact us, register, or buy a report.
On public creator data — our legal position

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 does not apply to personal data that the individual concerned has themselves made publicly available (Section 3(c)(ii)). A creator who publishes a public profile, a public follower count, and public posts has made that information public by their own act.

We work only with such data. We do not access private accounts, we do not log in as anyone, and we do not obtain anything that requires a follow request, a password, or a permission.

We nonetheless honour removal requests from creators as a matter of policy, not because we are obliged to. See section 6.

2. How we use information

3. What we do not do

Payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment gateway. Your card, UPI, or banking details are entered directly into Razorpay's systems and are never received or stored by us. We retain only the payment reference, amount, date and the handle the payment related to — which we need in order to issue refunds and file our accounts.

Razorpay's handling of your information is governed by Razorpay's privacy policy.

5. How long we keep things

9. Cookies and local storage

We use only the minimal browser storage necessary for the site to function — for example, remembering whether you chose dark mode or larger text. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

10. Data security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard what we hold, and we will tell affected users promptly if a breach ever occurs.

11. Children

Our service is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from a child. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
