These Terms govern your use of VidChart ("the Service") at vidchart.in. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We've kept this in plain English wherever possible — and used legal terms only where required.
01 What is VidChart
VidChart is a creator intelligence platform that ranks YouTube creators using publicly available YouTube Data API metrics combined through proprietary scoring algorithms — primarily the Influencer Impact Score (IIS™) and Trending Video Score (TVS™).
The Service is provided "as-is" by Anurag Singh, an individual entity based in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
02 Relationship with YouTube
By using VidChart, you also agree to:
"YouTube", the YouTube logo, and related trademarks are owned by Google LLC. We display channel thumbnails and use YouTube's public data subject to their Branding Guidelines.
03 Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in some jurisdictions)
- You must have legal capacity to agree to these Terms
- You must not be barred from receiving services under applicable laws
- If using on behalf of an organization, you must be authorized to bind that organization
04 Accounts and waitlist
Currently, VidChart does not require user accounts to view rankings. The Free tier is fully accessible without registration.
For the Pro waitlist, we collect only your email address. By joining, you agree to receive a notification when Pro launches and (optionally) periodic updates about VidChart. You can unsubscribe at any time.
When Pro launches (May 2026), accounts will be required for paid tiers. Account-related terms will be added to these Terms at that time.
05 Data accuracy and disclaimers
VidChart provides rankings and scores "as-is" based on data fetched from the YouTube Data API. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees:
- Rankings reflect snapshots; data refreshes on a regular cycle (currently up to every 24 hours)
- Score calculations use proprietary methodology — exact weightings are not disclosed
- Channel/video data may temporarily lag behind YouTube's live state
- YouTube API limitations may cause occasional gaps or errors
06 Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data without prior written permission
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures
- Use the Service to defame, harass, or harm any creator
- Attempt to manipulate rankings (e.g., fake engagement on YouTube to boost IIS scores)
- Resell or redistribute VidChart data without an authorized Business plan
- Use VidChart to violate YouTube's Terms of Service
07 Pro subscriptions and payments
When Pro and Business plans launch:
- Payments are processed via Razorpay, a licensed Indian payment gateway
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
- Cancel anytime from your account settings
- 14-day refund policy — no questions asked, email hello@vidchart.in
- Prices listed in INR; international users may incur conversion fees
- GST/applicable taxes added per Indian law
- Early-bird pricing (50% off lifetime) is honored for waitlist sign-ups #1–100
08 Intellectual property
Owned by VidChart
- IIS™ and TVS™ — scoring methodologies, names, and trademarks
- VidChart name, logo, and brand
- Website design, code, and original content
- Rankings databases and analytical reports
Owned by YouTube/Google
- YouTube name, logo, and trademarks
- All YouTube video and channel data (we display under license)
- Thumbnails and creator imagery (displayed with attribution)
Owned by creators
- Creator names, channel names, and any underlying creative content
- VidChart respects creator IP — we display public metadata only
09 Creator rights and removal
If you are a YouTube creator and want your channel removed from VidChart's public rankings, we honor your request without question.
- How: Email hello@vidchart.in with your channel URL
- When: Removed within 7 business days
- Verification: We may ask you to verify channel ownership (e.g., add a code to channel description temporarily)
Once removed, your channel will not be re-added unless you request inclusion. We maintain a permanent exclusion list to honor opt-outs.
10 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- VidChart is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (or ₹100, whichever is greater)
- We are not responsible for actions of third parties (Hostinger, Railway, Razorpay, YouTube/Google, etc.)
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
- You violate these Terms
- You attempt to abuse the Service or harm other users
- Required by law, court order, or government request
- We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)
You may terminate your use at any time by ceasing to use the Service. For paid plans, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
12 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, specifically the laws applicable in Maharashtra. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Pune, Maharashtra.
For users outside India, you agree that your use of VidChart constitutes acceptance of Indian law as the governing framework. International users are responsible for ensuring their use of the Service complies with local laws.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be:
- Communicated via email (to waitlist subscribers and paid users)
- Displayed prominently on the website at least 30 days before taking effect
- Reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top
Continued use after changes take effect = acceptance of the new Terms.
